CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Gov. Steve Sisolak has signed an executive order to help guard against outside prosecution of anyone who receives an abortion or other reproductive care in Nevada. His order signed Tuesday also adds protections for healthcare workers who provide such services. Sisolak’s move comes as fellow Democratic leaders across the country enacted further protections for abortion after the overturn of Roe v. Wade last week. The order bars state agencies from assisting other states in investigations that could prosecute abortion patients who come to Nevada from other states. Sisolak said his office will decline requests from other states to extradite or issue arrest warrants for people receiving abortions in Nevada.
