The Vegas Golden Knights said they are submitting a large gathering plan to county and state officials to host fans at a 20 percent capacity. Large scale public events are slated to resume effective Mar. 1 as the state and the country continues to experience a sharp decline in new coronavirus cases and lower test positivity rates. Nevada Health Response, a division of the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, along with the Southern Nevada Health District and Clark County will need to approve the plan. “If we have approval, we will provide details regarding ticket sales and entry requirements at that time,” a VGK spokesperson said late Monday. The news comes on the first day after the state loosened capacity restrictions, allowing entertainment venues and restaurants to house up to 100 people or 35 percent of the fire code limit. Some shows on the Las Vegas Strip have also announced their return as many look toward Mar. 15 when capacity limits are expected to rise to 50 percent.
