Nevada health officials on Tuesday are reporting 2,423 new cases of COVID-19, along with 29 new deaths attributed to the novel coronavirus. The state is now reporting 235,455 cumulative total number of COVID-19 cases and 3,235 deaths, per the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services. The test positivity rate, which the state measures on a 14-day period with a seven-day lag, is 20.3%, up from the 20% rate reported the previous day. For vaccinations, 34,549 people have received their first dose in Nevada, with 142,525 doses distributed so far, per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
