Nevada officials on Saturday reported more than 1,000 known additional COVID-19 cases for the first time since mid-August. The 1,146 additional cases and five additional deaths reported Saturday by the Department of Health and Human Services increased the state’s totals to 94,812 cases and 1,743 deaths. The last time Nevada reported more than 1,000 cases in a single day was Aug. 14, with 1,099. Johns Hopkins University data analyzed by The Associated Press showed increases in seven-day rolling averages for daily new cases and positivity rates from COVID-19.
