President Donald Trump touched down in Las Vegas late Saturday night as the Commander-in-Chief makes an effort to win over a key battleground state.
The president arrived at McCarran International Airport at approximately 11:15 p.m., and faces a full day of campaigning in the valley on Sunday.
Trump just came from a large event near Lake Tahoe, speaking to a crowd of thousands. The president took multiple jabs at Governor Sisolak and his stance on mail-in ballots.
“They don’t even need an authorization signature in Nevada, did you know that? You don’t have to have an authorized signature on a ballot? No, they’re trying to rig an election,” said President Trump. “I hope you’re all going to be poll watchers. because with you people watching the polls, it’s going to be pretty hard to be a cheater. I wouldn’t want to be a cheater.”
Trump also touted his administration’s management of COVID-19, and vowed to lower Nevada’s unemployment to pre-pandemic levels.
Sunday, President Trump will start his day at a Latinos for Trump round table at Treasure Island. He’ll then head to a “Great American Comeback” event at Xtreme Manufacturing in Henderson, which kicks off at 7 p.m.
