The NHL announced yesterday that it has agreed to an NHL/NHLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement extension through the 2025-26 season. Both sides have also agreed to resume play on August 1st.

Phase 3 for resume to play starts July 13th when teams can open training camps in their local markets.

Phase 4 is scheduled for July 26th when teams are reported to travel to two hub cities to play for the Stanley Cup Qualifiers on August 1st.

Protocols for Phase 3 & 4 are subject to ratification by the NHL Board of Governors and NHLPA membership. The NHLPA will conduct a vote from the players within 3-5 days.

One city will host the Western Conference and the other city will host the Eastern Conference. As of reporting, the NHL hasn’t released which cities will host the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The NHL revealed its 24 team playoff bracket on May 26th, according to its press release.

Each division leader team will play each other once to determine seeding in a round-robin. The remaining teams will face each other for a best-of-5 qualifying round into the playoffs.

Each round of the playoffs will remain a best-of-7 series.
