488 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Clark County on Tuesday, along with 2 additional deaths. That brings total county numbers to 15,095 cases and 416 deaths. The Southern Nevada Health District estimates that 9,330 of those who contracted the disease have recovered. New cases were lower than the totals posted for the last 3 days – two of which had inflagted numbers due to delays in reporting.
Hospitalizations are also up, but Southern Nevada hospitals have considerable capacity, with 77% of available beds and 83% of intensive care unit beds occupied. It also noted that COVID-19 patients account for only 13% of all hospital admissions and 21 percent of all occupied intensive care beds.
