Authorities say the body of a 24-year-old woman who went missing in Lake Mead earlier this week has been recovered. Officials from the Lake Mead National Park Service, Boulder City Police and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police were involved in the search. The body was spotted Saturday by a boater and pulled from the water by park rangers. Park officials say the woman’s name and cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office. Her family and friends reported her missing Wednesday night from the Special Events Beach at Lake Mead. Authorities searched the shoreline and the water by boat and helicopter, but the search was suspended around 1 a.m. Thursday due to low visibility. Park officials say the incident is under investigation.
