Cases of COVID-19 increased again Sunday morning, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services, but so did the number of tests administered. Cases in Nevada have now exceeded 13,000. Sunday morning, the department reported 274 new cases statewide, the 6th largest single day increase. This follows a week when Nevada saw it’s largest single day increase, 3 times (Tuesday, Friday and Saturday).
There is currently 13,205 cases and 487 deaths after one new death was recorded in Nevada overnight.
While cases increased, so did testing, with 9,014 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. This is the second largest single-day increase in testing statewide.
