The Las Vegas Raiders have been targeting defense early in free agency. A person familiar with the deal says Eli Apple agreed to a contract to join the team. He is the sixth free agent to agree to a deal. None of them can be finalized until after all the players pass physicals and sign the contracts. Apple joins linebackers Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski, defensive tackle Maliek Collins, safety Jeff Heath and defensive end Carl Nassib. The Raiders also reached a deal with veteran tight end Jason Witten and quarterback Marcus Mariota.
