A man has been arrested for stealing from a guest at the Venetian on the Las Vegas strip. Thirty year old Clifton Robbins was able to obtain a key card to the victims room because he had the same first name as a registered guest. He presented the front desk with his Nevada drivers license and told them he lost his key card.
Las Vegas Metro Police say Robbins had previously been banned from the hotel-casino for trying to obtain a key card. He’s been banned from other Las Vegas resorts for the same reason. Allegedly he was able to steal a suitcase full of clothing and cologne valued at $800, toiletries valued at $100, an Apple laptop worth approximately $2,000, an Apple tablet worth approximately $600, a book bag with school books inside, a wallet and credit cards.
Robbins is facing charges of burglary and grand larceny.
