The Raiders have acquired more parking near the under construction Allegiant Stadium. The team has purchased 17.3 acres of real estate, consisting of parking lots and commercial buildings on or near Valley View, between Russell and Reno Avenue. All are within a mile or so of the new stadium. The newly acquired land will open up 2700 additional parking spots.“It’s half a mile away at its closest point,” Raiders President Marc Badain said. “You can walk from that site pretty easily. We’ll have shuttle service available at the site, but I think most people will park and walk.” A trustee for the family trust that owned Frias Transportation confirmed that the former long time taxi company sold the land to the team for just over $28-million.
