It’s BYOB at Popeyes. That’s bring your own bun. The fast-food chain is recommending to customers who are upset about the shortage of chicken sandwiches that they bring their own buns, order a three-piece chicken tenders meal and make their own sandwich.

“While we work to get the sandwich back in our restaurants, we wanted to offer our guests a fun way to satisfy their Popeyes sandwich cravings,” said Bruno Cardinali, Popeyes’ head of marketing for North America, in a statement to CNN.

Back in August, Popeyes announced it would begin selling chicken sandwiches and had predicted its inventory would last through the end of September. Think again. The sandwiches began a nationwide craze with lines forming outside restaurants and the sandwiches selling out in just 2 weeks. If you don’t want to try and make your own sandwich, have no fear, Popeyes says the sandwiches will be back in stock soon.
