An excessive heat warning has been issued for the Las Vegas Valley for Monday.
The National Weather Service says Monday has the potential of being the hottest day of the year, so far.

The forecast high is 111-degrees and that would tie July 13. Anything higher than that is going to be a new record. The average high this time of year is about 104.
