The Vegas Golden Knights have traded forward Erik Haula to the Carolina Hurricanes in a move to help get the team under the salary cap. In exchange for Haula, the Golden Knights are expected to receive 22 year old forward Nicholas Roy from Carolina. Haula played 15 games last season and had two goals and seven points before he suffered a season-ending knee injury Nov. 6 at Toronto. The 28-year-old Haula has one year remaining on his contract that has a $2.75 million salary cap hit for the upcoming season.
