It appears Golden Knights center William Karlsson and the Vegas Golden Knights are very close to Karlsson signing an 8-year contract extension worth $47-million.
The deal is expected to be signed in the next 2 days. Karlsson, who is a restricted free agent, expressed his desire to stay in Las Vegas following the Golden Knights first round playoff defeat by the San Jose Sharks. Karlsson scored 24 goals and registered 56 points for the Knights last season. In the team’s inaugural season, he netted 43 goals and 78 points, with a +49 plus/minus rating for the Stanley Cup finalists.
