Today is Earth Day, and Climate Central, an independent organization that conducts surveys and research on climate change, has released it’s list of the fastest warming cities in the U.S.
Las Vegas comes in at #1. Climate Central studied data from 1970 to the present to make their list, and found that the majority of the fastest warming cities are in the southwest. Las Vegas has warmed 5.76-degrees since 1970. Rounding out the top 5, El Paso, Tuscon, Phoenix, and Burlington, Vermont, all with at least a 4.1-degree increase in temperature since 1970.
