An investigation that began in March has netter more than 2-dozen gang members in southern Nevada. The 29 people arrested have been identified as members of the 18th Street Gang by Las Vegas Metro Police.
Metro Captain John Leon said "We believe they are responsible for some of the worst crimes in our community. The gang was involved in violent acts to include, but not limited to, homicide, robbery, battery with a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, attempt murder, kidnapping, theft and the destruction of private property."
Several local, state and federal agencies took part in the investigation, including Metro's Gang Unit, the Clark County District Attorney, Department of Corrections, Department of Homeland Security, the DEA, the Inspector General's office, the U.S. Attorney's office, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
