The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will close 15 northbound between Sahara and Charleston tonight between 10pm and 4:30am. Additionally, the Sahara Avenue onramp to Interstate 15 northbound will be closed from 9 p.m until 5 a.m
The temporary closure is needed for installation of Active Traffic Management (ATM) signs as part of Project Neon – a nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long widening of Interstate 15 from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue that began in 2016. Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. is the design-build general contractor, with Atkins North America as lead designer. Project Neon is 88 percent finished and scheduled for substantial completion in the summer of 2019.
