Derek Carr will head to his third straight Pro Bowl, as he takes Tom Brady’s spot on the AFC roster.

2017 saw Carr regress for the first time in his career. He completed passes at a lower rate, threw for less touchdowns and more interceptions than he did in his breakout 2016 season.

But Carr will still find his way to the Pro Bowl thanks to the Patriots return to the Super Bowl.

Derek Carr 2017 Stats

  • Yards: 3,496
  • Touchdowns: 22
  • Interceptions: 13
  • Completion Percentage: 62.7%

The other quarterbacks for the AFC will be Ben Roethlisberger and Alex Smith after Philip Rivers pulled out of the game.

Carr will join four teammates in the Pro Bowl, as Rodney Hudson, Kelechi Osemele, Donald Penn and Khalil Mack were all selected. Penn will not participate due to a foot injury.

Tyler Bischoff hosts Coaches Corner on AM 720 KDWN Monday through Friday at 6:00 pm.
