Golden Knights uniform voted as one of the best in NHL history

The nickname Golden Knights. Choosing Vegas over Las Vegas. Electing for a gray jersey instead of a flashy, Las Vegas inspired design.

Bill Foley’s hockey team was met with a lot of criticism from Las Vegans, but the Golden Knights first-ever uniform was voted as the 13th best in NHL history.

NHL.com ran a contest based on fan voting to determine the best uniforms in league history. Of the 31 uniforms in the NHL, only three made it into the top 15 best uniforms of all time.

The Golden Knights uniforms is gray with black, gold and red stripes. The red sliver adds a little pop to the uniform and is a nod to the red rock mountains that surround the western side of Las Vegas.

The best part of Vegas’ jersey is barely visible. The gold stripes and background of the chest logo feature a subtle floral pattern.

Plus the Golden Knights have a terrific star and swords secondary logo on the shoulder.

As is the case with most new logos or designs, the initial response was filled with hatred. But the Golden Knights logo, color scheme and uniforms are among the best in hockey.
