Conley was picked 24th overall out of Ohio State. He missed the entire preseason and the first game of the season. But he did suit up in weeks two and three.
Conley had seven tackles and one pass break up on the season.
Conley's injury is a shin injury of some sort. During the preseason Conley disputed that he had shin splints, which led to the Raiders clarifying that it was a shin injury, just not shin splints.
Conley was drafted in the first round and was expected to have an immediate impact on the Raiders defense. The opportunity was certainly there as the only Raiders corner back that has had a good season is TJ Carrie. But Conley, who could be the Raiders best corner, never got healthy.
The Raiders will face Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Mexico this Sunday.
