Clark County Commissioners are moving forward with a plan to make sidewalks on the Las Vegas strip safer. Steel posts will be placed along the sidewalks to keep vehicles from being able to drive into crowds of people on the strip. The 700 bollards will be placed in front of several strip properties, including Caesars, The Mirage, Bellagio and Paris. Construction will ideally start in October and be completed in December. The project is expected to cost $5 million and would be paid for by the Clark County room tax.
