Nick Bonsanto is a 30 year radio veteran having started working in radio back in 1981 at WJJZ in Mount Holly New Jersey as a disc jockey while only 18 years of age. From those humble roots, Nick has had a long and exciting sports radio career.
Over Nick's long career he has developed a unique brand of sports talk with a passion, knowledge and entertaining style that is unmatched in the industry. It is Nick's unmatched energy as he tackles the toughest of sports topics that makes him loved by his listeners. Public opinion never gets in the way of getting an honest assessment from Nick on a daily basis. Let's also not forget he'll find a way to entertain along the way with just the right amount of humor.
Nick says "Sports should be fun. It is something that we can talk passionately about, laugh about and cry about but it's not brain surgery so let's have fun and let it fly!" There is no right or wrong in sports talk opinion only another fun and heated discussion. Nick loves sports and loves listeners who share that same passion.
Nick comes to Sports Byline USA and Las Vegas from the Philadelphia/NJ area via Chattanooga TN, where Nick hosted the "Nick Bonsanto Show" on ESPN 105.1 for 3 years. While in Chattanooga Nick became a regular contributor on TV with CBS News 12 at 7 with his segment 'In The Zone'. This was a humorous editorial segment seen daily on some of the most talked about topics in sports.
Nick was previously a regular on the Philadelphia Sports beat having covered the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers and Flyers on a daily basis for several stations.
In the 90's Nick was the Play-by-Play voice for Rider University Basketball. It was one of his favorite times in his radio career. His work in 1993 garnered him much national attention landing guest slots with some of the biggest names in the country like Don Imus and many more. Nick has also handled play-by-play at two NCAA Basketball Tournaments, the College Baseball World Series Regional's as well as College Football in NJ. While in Chattanooga Nick was also the voice of the High School Football Game of the week.
One of the things Nick is proudest of is his work in the community. Nick has volunteered his services on behalf of several charities. He has worked with the MDA, Diabetes Association, Sexually Abused Women, United Way, churches and several other area charities. Nick is very proud of his first ever comedy show in 2010. He performed the "Nick Bonsanto Show Uncensored" at The Comedy Catch in Chattanooga. This was put together to raise money for Mckamey Animal Center and was a huge success.
The radio business and the community have been good to Nick, his wife Michelle and his children. Nick and his family are looking forward to 30 more great years in the radio industry.
