A group of new homes under construction near Russell Road and Hollywood Blvd, went up in flames overnight. Clark County fire crews were called to the scene about 3:30 this morning. Several of the partially built homes were destroyed in the fire.

One person is dead after being involved in a crash with a Metro police cruiser. The person crashed into the rear of the police vehicle near Las Vegas Blvd and Serene. The officer suffered minor injuries in the crash.
