Fullback trade! The #Raiders are sending FB Jamize Olawale to the #Cowboys, sources say. Dallas has its fullback, one who was with Oakland since 2012.

The Raiders are also sending a sixth round pick to Dallas in exchange for a fifth round pick. It is the second time the Raiders have moved up to the fifth round by trading a player and a sixth round pick, as Cordarrelle Patterson was shipped to New England in a similar trade.

Patterson carries a cap hit of $3.25 million this season, as Olawale was going to cost the Raiders $1.83 million against the cap. The moves shed about $5 million of salary for Oakland.

But at the fullback spot, the Raiders had already replaced Olawale with a more expensive option. Keith Smith signed with Oakland last week for two years and $4.2 million.

Patterson was lightly used on offense last season, as the Raiders turned to him in the return game. Griff Whalen was brought in last week as a potential kick returner.
