Decline in Tourism After 1 October Leads to Decline in Tax Revenue to Fund Raiders Stadium

Tourism numbers in Las Vegas fell in the wake of the 1 October mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival and that, in turn, has led to a drop in tax revenue that is going to be used to pay for the Raiders stadium. The Las Vegas Stadium Authority released figures Thursday that show a 3% drop in tax collections in October and a 10% decrease in November. The hotel rom tax increase went into effect last March to cover $750 million on the $1.9 billion project.
